Psychiatry:
An Industry of Death Museum

Opened in December 2005 at CCHR International headquarters, this state-of-the-art museum documents how psychiatry is an industry driven by profit, its pretended help often resulting in death.

Thousands of lawmakers, doctors, human rights advocates, healthcare professionals and students, as well as private citizens have toured the museum and are using the information to take action in their own sphere and thereby force psychiatry to account for its crimes and abuses.

Now online as a virtual tour you can see for yourself psychiatry's destructive influence on our youth and society, as well as its infiltration into Hollywood and the creative industries. This influence has resulted in a staggering loss of talent in many artistic fields, including Kurt Cobain, Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland. TAKE THE VIRTUAL TOUR

Statistics

  • The psychiatric industry takes in almost $350 billion a year while an estimated 100,000 people die in psychiatric institutions around the world.
  • 20 million children worldwide are taking psychiatric drugs that can cause suicide, hostility, violence, mania, diabetes, drug dependence, heart attacks, strokes and even death.
  • Annually, psychiatrists kill an estimated 10,000 people with their use of electroshock--460 volts of electricity sent searing through the brain.
  • Psychiatrists and psychologists have raped at least 250,000 women. Studies show that 10 to 25 percent of psychiatrists sexually assault their patients; one of every 20 victims is likely to be a minor.
